Thanks Jack…

I’ve known Jack since the late 80’s, he’s amazingly generous and one heck of a fine woodworker with a crazy cool shop and living space.

He visited one day and without asking took with him the broken spindle that was missing from the gorgeous handrail. It’d been abused with layers of failed repairs, luckily both pieces were found during the cleanup. A short time later he revisited with this impressive fix:

Jack understanding of wood is unique. His reference is more from a machinists perspective with super tight tolerances. He produced this wonderful solution; a marriage between a large steel pin and the reworked wooden spindle. They mated perfectly!

Beautiful!
